Image of Design
I would like to create animation for Comedy Central that will maintain their style. Their style includes camera motion, quick camera animation, great photoshop design that incorporates color, and different layout styles that give a unique but easy to read feel to the composition. I have, here, a couple pics that shows my interest with Comedy Central.

My Ideal Job/Objective
Job Search and Feelings
Senior Broadcast Designer / Animator
at Comedy Central in New York City
COMEDY CENTRAL: SENIOR DESIGNER/ANIMATOR:
Comedy Central’s On-Air Promotions design group is looking for inspired SENIOR DESIGNER/ANIMATORS to work in-house, in our NY studio, for upcoming freelance projects. Potential STAFF positions opening.
Candidates must have a minimum of 3-5 years experience in broadcast design and be proficient in After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Cinema 4d and/or MAYA
This is a collaborative environment. Strong communication skills are essential.
Please submit your resume and reel to: Chris Scarlata, Design Director ON-AIR PROMOTIONS
MTVN is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Objective: To produce stunning imagery with a “polished” feel in order to support and maintain Comedy Central’s style for mass media broadcasting
Feelings: I personally feel that to acquire a position like this, one must not only have experience in the field but must be extremely ambitious. A company like this would want someone that knows what he/she wants not only from the company, but also from him/herself. The positive outcome of reading this position is that one can expose him/herself to their ideal job without 20 plus years of experience and also be able to travel. However, the problem with this is that this is a freelance position. This basically means that once the project is done so are you. This would cause the designer to look elsewhere for employment. On the positive side of this, Comedy Central would look great on a resume.
Generations in the Workforce
In the workforce, there are different age groups that work together to share a common goal. However, with each age group, there are different wants that could help encourage employees to give 110% to work and also stay in that career much longer. There are different age groups, generation X (1965 through 1978), generation Y (1979 through 1994), and the baby boomers (1946 through 1964). Researchers have found that the baby boomers prefer to have more flexible employment for example working at home. In this case, the gen Y employees are often in close contact with the boomers in order to learn more about their future career decisions and goals with the company. On the other hand, the boomers look to gen Y to learn new skills such as media. Gen Y employees seem to have more ambition, comfort with other ethnicities and reluctance in give positive energy back to the world. Gen X will eventually have to care for the boomers and manage over the gen Y’s. This, in turn, will lead them to the fact that they are not the talent any longer and they will have to manage a workforce that does not share their common interests.
For an example, in an office there may be all three generations. The gen Y may be the employees that may look to have a long standing with the company. They are willing to work longer hours and really provide a positive outcome to the company. They will also seek advice from the boomer employees who will often want to work from home more often and relax more. The gen Y employees will also help to participate in teaching the boomers skills that involve more technology or faster production. This type of work can often be seen in the arts or media departments often because faster technology repeatedly releases every year and more knowledge can be gained by the more ambitious, the gen Y.
I believe that in the case of the gen Y, the employees will often seek out the boomers mainly because of their experience in the field. There will always be some type of exchange in the work field between the two. I also believe that the boomers will want to work and have more flexibility but at the same time keep their notable positions. In conclusion, gen X, will always be the employees to manage the younger generation and prepare to make major decisions for the elderly and more experienced.
